Objects Manufactured By Powder Coating Aluminium Are Durable And Cost effective

Powder Coating Systems is an advanced method of applying a decorative and protective finish to virtually on any type of metal especially aluminium that can be used both by industry and consumers. The powder used in the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is electrostatically sprayed onto the surface to be coated. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces until the powder is heated and fused into a smooth coating in the curing oven. The result is a uniform, durable, high quality and attractive finish. Powder coating is the fastest growing finishing technology across the geographical boundaries representing over 10% of all industrial finishing applications

Powder coatings are considered extremely resilient, and are a coating of choice for use on gas or oil pipelines which are buried in the earth or underwater. This procedure to apply colour is also commonly used on automotive parts and commercial and residential appliances because of their excellent chip resistance, hardness and or chemical resistance. From the perspective of resistance to light and UV degradation, some powder coatings are outstanding, being used on the facades and window sections of large buildings. The standard range of powder coatings are designed for general outdoor use and applications. They offer good weathering resistance, excellent film integrity and very good hardness.

There are many advantages of to apply powder coating to aluminium products. . As this process of applying colours is environmentally friendly compared to spray painting, so is much adopted by persons. Apart from it produces less hazardous materials. Powder coated materials can be recycled. Secondly.. powder coating is a cost effective finish, with a broad range of effective colours. . As the finished coating has a high resistance to scratching , chipping and marking makes objects durable. This process gives consumers, businesses, and industries one of the most economical, longest lasting, and most color-durable quality finishes available on virtually any type of metal.

The powders used do not emit any volatile organic compounds or VOC's which make it better for the environment and safer for the end user. The coating can be applied thicker than the traditional liquid coatings without the sagging or running effect. The overspray can be reused if a cartridge booth is utilized. In effect that system allows the user to achieve almost 100% use of the coating. The overall cost of operating and purchasing the equipment for a powder coating system is less than the traditional liquid lines. Lastly, it is more versatile and allows for more specialty effects over the liquid coating option.

Although the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of powder coating there are still some limitations on the technology. Thick coatings are easily applied and portray a smooth surface but thinner coatings tend to appear with a rougher, golf ball like surface. Second the coatings tend to break down after 5 to 10 years of UV ray exposure. This is the reason why Powder Coating aluminium is used in manufacturing industry of diverse purpose. The combination of two gives the life to products as they are more cost effective and durable
