Textile industry in India is considered as a pioneer industry, as India’s industrialization in other fields has succeeded through the resources generated by textile industry. Government policies have changed too. As the Indian economy opens up to the outside world, foreign investment opportunities are being transformed.

With supportive government policies, and use of latest technology, new age creative and risk taking entrepreneurs are spreading their wings by venturing in the export market and cashing the opportunity. There are few things to take care of. While entering the international market, textile manufacturers should be updated all time with the recent trends going on in the international trade community as well as market. India's apparel exporters, though, have been employing various strategies to make sure that they remain competitive in the liberalized trading environment of 2005 and beyond, they have to be alert by the competitors so that they can retain their position in the global market and see that they further increase their profits. Various methods should be applied to attain it.
